Ajitesh’s first short, ‘Visible Bra Straps’, was a pioneer film from India and was selected & awarded at 24 international film festivals. The film was also nominated by Indian Government as an Official Indian entry to Asia Pacific Screen Awards 2011 at Brisbane, the Oscar equivalents in the Asia Pacific. Shorts International, which is the exclusive buyer of all Oscar Nominated Short films, later acquired the worldwide distribution rights of the film, the first Indian film to be acquired by them.

World Premiered at International Director’s Lounge Berlin 2013, SWEN was his first feature. It started an international festival circuit with awards and selections in Mexico, the USA, Germany, Greece, South Africa, and India. His first short children film Folktale has been selected at 47 International Film Festivals in 17 Countries including 12 awards. Most of his projects have been acquired by international content providers.

He has curetted the first edition of Global Cinema FestivalIndia in 2009 and a regular member of the Script Review Committee at the Sidewalk International Film Festival from 2013 to 2015. He is also part of the jury of other American & European Festivals in Houston, New York, Chicago, and Copenhagen. He had also worked as an International Ambassador for Brussels International Fashion Film Festival, Istanbul Fashion Film Festival, and the Chicago Fashion Film Festival. He has also been part of Screening Committee Features for the Atlanta Film Festival in 2019 & 2020. Currently, he is part of the judging team of the Croatia Fashion Film Festival apart from judging Summit International Awards.

Earlier he has worked with Reliance Big Pictures and handled their international slate of 9 films by the reputed directors including Rituparno Ghosh, Shaji Karun, Amol Palekar, and others. All these films traveled to international festivals and events of repute and were also handsomely sold to international agencies.

Apart from films, he also directs fashion films, music videos, and commercials. He has shot fashion films across the globe and his work is recognized at prominent fashion events worldwide in Cape Town, London, Miami, Chicago, Istanbul, Porto, and others. His latest fashion film, for fashion giant Myntra, was shot at Iceland, collecting 11 International Accolades in Major Fashion Festivals including 5 international advertising awards and nominations at Cannes of Fashion Films, La Jolla Fashion Film Festival. He has fetched several international recognitions in photography too.

His latest film The Chernobyl Saga Irish Butter Case of India is his first documentary and perhaps the first Indian film to be shot in Chernobyl, apart from also being shot in India and Russia. The film has been sold to Shorts TV.
