Tim HallTim began his career in advertising as a burnt-out props guy on feature films, by joining Young & Rubicam Sydney as the world’s oldest “junior” copywriter in 1989. In 1996, he moved to The Campaign Palace Melbourne for four years, the last two as Joint Creative Director. Returning to Sydney in 2000, he was Deputy Creative Director at Clemenger BBDO, and later enjoyed four months as a Visiting Creative Director at Mark BBDO Prague.

Jon Sharpe

Jon SharpeJon is the co-founder and Creative Director & Chief Executive, Play.  Jon studied English at King's College London and Education at Cambridge University before beginning his career in interactive advertising in the mid-90s. After cutting his teeth conceiving interactive campaigns for brands including Virgin and United International Pictures, Jon joined Agency.com in 1999 where he was appointed Director of Digital Marketing.

Christopher Mackay

Christopher MackayTechnology Director, Tantramar Interactive Inc. Chris has immersed himself in the ever-changing digital world since 1993. Prior to co-founding Tantramar Interactive, Chris held various positions at Mount Allison University, a favorite higher-learning institution of MacLean’s Magazine for the past 13 years. He was Multimedia Developer at the Centre for Learning Technologies, guest-lecturer for the Education Department, distance education courseware developer and lecturer for the Department of Physics.

Rodney Durso

Rodney DursoEducated at Boston University's School of Mass Communications, Rodney studied advertising, marketing and film production as well at working for a period in television commercial production in the UK. He has pursued additional education in film, fine arts and architecture at Columbia University and Parsons School of Design, where he is an Adjunct Professor. He has also studied with design masters like Milton Glaser, Paul Davis and Ed Bengait at the School of Visual Arts.

Ethan has nearly 20 years of international advertising experience at agencies such as TBWA\Hunt\Lascaris in South Africa, Saatchi & Saatchi in Kuwait, and Ogilvy & Mather in both Kuwait and Bahrain.

Ravinder Paul Singh

Ravinder Ravinder is the CEO and founder of Kulwant Kenya, a web strategy outfit providing corporate strategy with core emphasis on online medium. He is on survey panel of Penn Schoen and Berland Associates, an online research company, panelist of EIU (Economist Intelligence Unit), member of Society of Industry Leaders, past judge of WEB AWARDS and also sits on the board of Nairobits (a Holland and Kenya e-initiative for youth).

Are you or a colleague ready to demonstrate your leadership in the industry by serving on the SIA Board of Judges?  

The Summit International Awards puts together high-quality judging teams using its peer-to-peer nomination process. This is one of the primary differences between the SIA and other awards programs and allows SIA winners to celebrate recognition by industry leaders. SIA jury service is a great opportunity to review a wide variety of advertising and other marketing communication from around the world.


In order to ensure impartiality, the awards scores on a curve with minimum standard requirements. Percentage models, or stair-step scoring systems, (100-90, 89-80) are not considered to be reputable evaluation systems by the Summit International Awards.


We seek jurors that have a depth of experience in the industry and a desire to give back. Judges are selected for their industry experience, their ability to recognize exceptional creativity and marketing know-how, and their ability to evaluate submissions according to the guidelines and deadlines set forth by the SIA.

All Judging is performed online using the SIA secure jury portal. 


Vetted judges are invited for inclusion as a juror. They are assigned specific categories and may work both individually or as part of a team. Judges agree to review all assigned entries using SIA scoring parameters within the given timeline and in an impartial manner. Adherence to the judging guidelines set forth by the SIA is paramount. Evaluations found not adhering to the SIA judging guidelines will be not be included in the results.
