Stéphane Veilleux has held the position of Vice-president and creative director at Brad since 2001. He then became a partner in 2002. But it all started really one Christmas Eve at the age of 6, when the Super-8 camera he received from his grandfather went on to shape his career path years down the road.
A graduate in Radio & TV Arts from Ryerson University in Toronto, Stéphane started writing comedy material for TV and radio shows – one of them (Surprise Sur Prise) being a pop-culture phenomenon in Québec and in France.
His advertising career began in 1992 at Cossette, the largest ad agency in Canada. He played with his food on McDonald’s and his life on General Motors.
Saint-Jacques Vallée Young & Rubicam Montreal then gave him great opportunities that turned into awards for Ford, Weight Watchers and the Québec’s infamous Whippet cookie.
Freelancing for JWT, Marketel (McCann WorldGroup), bleublancrouge and BOS lead Stéphane to the position of Creative Group Head at PALM (Havas). Volkswagen and Parmalat among others kept him pretty busy and happy.
Known as a teamworker, appreciated for his judgment and critical mind, Stéphane keeps on spliting his time between managing and creating. And Brad has a lot to keep him satisfied with clients like Budweiser, Bud Light, Ski-Doo, Can-Am, Ubisoft and local accounts you wouldn’t really care about at this point of a bio.
Married once for good. Raised kids twice. Usually sports a bruise or two around as a souvenir from Tuesday night’s Street hockey game.
