Daniel da Hora has been an Art Director and Creative Director for some Brazilian northeast agencies. Partner-director of Creatto Communications Agency from 1997 to 2005, advertising company with detached works in the Brazilian northeast market, acting as art director and creative director. Executive Innovation Director for Aporte Comunicação since 2008 to 2009. Nowadays is Creative Consultant for several agencies and clients, been working since 1998 for brands such as Carrier, Apple, Castrol and also local brands and governmental advertising
Designer awardee, acts in advertising since 1994 and, beyond the activities of advertising executive and university professor, is fine artist, having participated of collective and individual expositions in Brazil (Recife), Argentina (Buenos Aires), United States (New York) and Ecuador (Cuenca).
As an academic, taught in the courses of Graphic Design, Industrial Design and Advertising at UFPE (Federal University) up to 2001 and currently teaches in the courses of Social Communication (Advertising, Journalism, Photography) and courses of Arts (Graphic Design and Fine Arts) at Aeso - Barros Melo (Olinda, BRA) and is coordinator of Inata - the Experimental Advertising Agency, in the same institution.
In the last years, has participated of several festivals in Brazil and other countries (such as LIA - London International Awards / New York Festivals / Cannes Lions - Young Creatives / FIAP / El Ojo de Iberoamerica / Open AD / Diseño en Palermo), even as creative director or professor, receiving many prizes for academic and non-academic works. Manages the Young Lions Brazil - Northest (linked to Cannes Lions / Ed. Referência), having been the president of the jury for two years.

Art Director's Club of N.Y. member, São Paulo Creatives Club member and the Brazilian Computer Society member. Columnist for innovation site Update or Die (www.updateordie.com). Author of the book "Image and Advertising - Fine Arts, Semiotics and Technology", with preface from Lúcia Santaella. Moreover, is Director of the Abelardo da Hora Institute, entity that aims at the promotion of the arts and the culture in Brazil.
